Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Quelle ("the Service"), operated by Cognito.space, 85 Birchwood Way, Dumfries, DG1 3GT. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
The service
Quelle is an RSS feed reader. We provide a way to subscribe to, organise, and read RSS feeds. We do not control the content of third-party feeds and are not responsible for what they publish.
Accounts
You need an email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, as it is your only method of authentication. One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that are used to abuse the service or violate these terms.
Free trial and billing
New accounts include a 30-day free trial. Payment details are collected during sign-up via Stripe. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be charged automatically.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.
Refunds
If you are unhappy with the service, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of a payment and we will issue a refund. Beyond that window, refunds are at our discretion.
Your data
You retain ownership of any data you provide to the service (such as your feed subscriptions and reading preferences). We do not claim any rights over your content. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
Availability
We aim to keep Quelle available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service
- Resell access to the service without our permission
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quelle and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Scotland.
Intellectual property
The Quelle name, logo, and application code are the property of operator. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without our written permission.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
